In ME350, I and four others were tasked with creating a linkage that could illuminate a series of five photodetectors using a light mounted at the end of the linkage. The major challenges were identifying the optimal linkage lengths and anchor points to maintain the correct angles at each photodetector while producing enough torque and minimizing the angle of rotation. I was also heavily involved in tuning the PID loop that powered the linkage.
